The directory contains the latest snapshots
of the so called "merged patch" for the SCSI
subsystem.

It is a patchfile that is planned to go into the 
early 1.3 kernels. It updates most files in the
drivers/scsi directory and quite a number of others
in the sourcetree.

It fixes a number of problems in the SCSI code, 
adds new features like native multichannel and
wide SCSI support, the /proc/scsi directory etc.
It also reindents the midlevel and most of the 
highlevel code so that it gets a little more 
readable again.

The intention of this "pre"release is, that
other programmers can prepare themselves for the
