                                                (gnumaniak 1.5, 18 AUG 1999)

Installation
=-=-=-=-=-=-=
su
for i in `seq 1 9`; do cp */*.${i} /usr/man/man${i}; done

You might have to remove the old cat pages (rm -f /usr/man/cat[1-9]/*) to see
the updated pages.

Warning
=-=-=-=
Please do not send me bug reports on any of the packages, send them to the
correct addess as specified in every man page. Documentation bugs,
feedback, general hate mail, and constructive criticism are very welcome.

What
=-=-=
gnumaniak, a collection of man pages I either updated (or rewrote absolutely
from scratch since I wanted to use the LDP Documentation License), and that
correspond to packages with unsupported/unmaintained/inexistant pages:

	diffutils-2.7.2
	sh-utils-2.0
	fileutils-4.0
	textutils-2.0
        libtool-1.3.2
	binutils-2.9.1

I know option formatting varies from one package to other. I'll unify it
once I figure if I can use something better than raw *roff that can carry
more information and still output *nroff and other formats.

When
=-=-=
Because each time an above package with non maintained man pages is
released gnumaniak will go out (or that's what's planned:). man-pages is
probably too big to be released frecuently(?). Besides, man-pages
documents sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 7. gnumaniak documents only section 1.

Why
=-=
We hate info. We know info is a Bad Thing. We know $1 editor is better than
$2, too. If you are happy with info, fine. You are in your right to be
wrong (and so are we)
